The following is a list of my most important classes I've taken at Clemson. You can find Japanese courses and business courses that have helped me with understanding international business, as well as accounting, which is my minor.

Japanese Courses

This course gives students a basic introduction to the Japanese language. Learning basic words, grammar, hiragana, katakana, and basic kanji.

This course is a continuation of JAPN 1010.

JAPN 2010
Intermediate Japanese

This course continues on the grammar points and vocabuary learned in Elementary Japanese. This course teaches more grammar points and helps expand students vocabulary and understanding of Kanji.

Continuation of JAPN 2010.

JAPN 3050
Japanese Conv & Comp

This course takes the grammar and vocabulary learned in Elementary and Intermediate Japanese and allows students to learn a deeper understanding of written and spoken Japanese, and promotes opportunities for different presentations in spoken Japanese.

Japanese for Intl. Business I

This course introduces students to the cultural nuances of Japanese business culture. While learning new business related vocabulary, we spent a lot of time learning about the customs and rules rooted within Japanese business culture.

Directed Reading

This course was created in substitution of Japanese for International Business II for students who were abroad during the spring semester. This course focuses on looking at different case studies of companies in Japan and how they work on a global scale. With that, new business related vocabulary is learned, as well as completing our own analysis on a company that does business in Japan.

ACCT 2110

Financial Accounting Concepts

This course provided students with the basic understanding of accounting principles, terms, and procedures used in everyday accounting careers. Students were introduced to journal entries, income statements, balance sheets, the statement of cash flows, as well as other accounting principles.

Intermediate Financial Accounting I

This course builds from the Financial Accounting Concepts course by providing real life examples and problems, as well as looking at how to read and interpret financial records.

ACCT 3130
Analytics for Acct. Decison Making

This class introduced students to different softwares used in accounting and display graphics to demonstrate analytical findings and answer questions related to findings.

MGT 4230

International Management

This course taught the basics of business management on an international scale. Students then had to find a small business in America and choose a country to promote that company in and do in-depth research as to how the company would have to change and adapt to the new country it would be located in.

ECON 3100
International Economics

This course introduced students to the basics of international economics. This gave a look at comparing economics globally and how to complete basis equations to find exchange rates, and how international commerce is done.

MKT 4270

International Marketing

This course taught terminology and practices used in marketing for a company on an intrnernational scale. Students then applied that knowledge gained in class to complete a group project marketing for a certain business in some different country. This project allowed students to gain

Japanese Language and

Culture A

This course gave students an overview of Japanese culture, such as different festivals, Japanese comedy, prefectural differences, and others.

J2 1-5

This course was created for advancing in the Japanese language with 5 classes that promoted reading, writing, speaking, grammar, and language skills. 

Japanese Language and 

Society A

This course emphasized differences within Japanese society, such as differences in language used by different ages, different religions practiced around Japan, education in Japan, as well as other societal features.

Seminar on Japanese​

Language and Culture

This course was taught in Japanese and emphasized on learning about Japanse culture and society through different creative outlets, such as manga, movies, and anime. The class always finished with a class discussion in Japanese over what was taught that day and expanding different ideas and comparisons based on students' home countries.
